Today at one of my class, I play fill the blank in Michael Buble’s song lyric. Haven’t Met You Yet. And then, when I was checking the lyrics, I couldn’t help but wonder.. I mean, of course what Michael sang about somebody right will come along is quite true, but somehow we have this doubt. Will we found it? Will we meet his or her?
And I know someday that it’ll all turn out
You’ll make me work, so we can work to work it out
And I promise you, kid, that I give so much more than I get
I just haven’t met you yet
I like the second line, I always thought that relationship needs work. But really, to found someone who wants to work it out with you, that’s the hard part.
I might have to wait, I’ll never give up
I guess it’s half timing, and the other half’s luck
Wherever you are, whenever it’s right
You’ll come out of nowhere and into my life
Half timing, half luck. This is so true, sometimes things comes into our life the least we expected. We try so much to make things happen, to push it into the condition we think is the best. And maybe sometimes we forget that we can’t control everything. Time and luck. Only God knows.
And I know that we can be so amazing
And, baby, your love is gonna change me
And now I can see every possibility
I have this utopia inside my head, whoever that’ll come into my life, he would be perfect, and everything’s gonna be great, but what most important is, the two of us are gonna be amazing. I know, I know… But I’ve seen so many times when reasonable girls got lost, so I think I’m gonna keep my little fantasy about my future partner. Agree, we will be amazing.
They say all’s fair
In love and war
But I won’t need to fight it
We’ll get it right and we’ll be united
The idea that I don’t have to fight for this person is enchanting. There’s no war, we just two people who meant to be together. We will get it right. 🙂
